Thanks for the video, the SP is my favorite handheld and it's great seeing it recreated like this. I have a question, did you do any testing on the display shaders within Retroarch? I usually like some kind of CRT shader for 16bit consoles and anything 3D so I wonder how hard the performance hit is with lightweight shaders.

Honestly i just want a mig switch because my sd card reader is fucked, if i can dump digital copies of switch games it will be a game changer for me.

I honestly regret spending $200 on the Analogue Pocket a few years ago. It’s cool that it plays the actual game carts, and it’s obviously a much more premium device, but I feel like RG35XX SP is something I’d actually be more comfortable taking with me due to its form factor and lower price.

I don't care how it preforms on custom firmware - I only care what the stock firmware is or isn't capable of. It would have been much more useful to most people to see how those higher end games performed on the SF and not the CF.

People may not want to read or hear this but imo just buy a nintendo device. You have all the advantages/plus points mentioned in this video and you have 0 disadvantages/minus points mentioned in this video. Conclusion: You end up with a device with only good points. Besides that you support nintendo and their official non-piracy games and products. It is very easily in my country to get a secondhand nintendo device, like a XXL 3DS. It cost around 80 euro if you find a good deal. You can play all your favorite games on it. Really. I hope this helps. Even buying an original nintendo SP is a better idea. You are 300% sure all games run fine and you have the best nintendo SP games experience ever. No framerates problems, no weird scaling stuff. You can even play together with someone else via a link cable on a nintendo SP. Games on a nintendo device instantly boot up. Even quicker then a linux OS....
